Our vineyard is approximately 4 acres. We have planted over 1,600 grapevines to date and have more in progress. We grow 4 types of wine grapes - 2 for red wines and 2 for white wines.
We are also growing apples rhubarb, and pears for future fruit (non-grape) wines.
A new variety developed by the University of MN. We are excited about this grape because it has potential for making a very good dry white.
This is another U of MN variety that makes a nice rose and also a dry/semi-dry red wine.
This is our newest planting. Looking forward to making an excellent red wine from them in 2022.
This is one of our favorites for an aromatic semi-sweet white wine.
All pruning is typically completed by April. As soon as the snow is gone, we start preparing (fertilizer, weed removal) for the growing season.
Fuit is set by summer. Then we focus on nurturing the vines and protecting them from pests to ensure the grapes ripen properly.
When the sugar levels and pH tell us the grapes are ready, we harvest. Thankful for our amazing volunteers that help us pick each year!
